Marcus Lowe makes solo debut

Posted By on Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 3:40 PM

Producer/musician Marcus Lowe (Il Libretina, Step by Step, Parachute Woman) just pounced right out of butt-lovin' nowhere to release his first solo album in "What Even Is That?"

It's an driving chunk of eclectica with early-'90s melodies a la Dinosaur Jr. ("Two Headed Streets") right beside "Hey Ma, I'm up to no good" choogle ("True Story").

The album is streaming in its entirety for free on Soundcloud.

(Full disclosure: Marcus recorded/produced an album I worked on a couple years ago. More so, he and I hang out, among many other places, at family reunions. He's the man with the golden ear and I'm his fact-checkin' cuz.)
