Bonnie Montgomery and Montgomery Trucking play Starving Artist Cafe at 6 p.m. before performing for the microphones on "Tales from the South" at 7 p.m., free.

Take a peek at two Musicians Showcase acts: progressive instrumentalists Echo Canyon and folk troubadour Michael Leonard Witham take to White Water Tavern alongside local pop heavies The Evelyns, 10 p.m., donations.

Philander Smith offers another "Bless the Mic" speaker in Dr. Steve Perry, author of "Raggedy Schools" and familiar face to CNN devotees, 7 p.m., free.

And Market Street Cinema invites all the studs and birds to do the hand jive at tonight's "Grease" Sing-A-Long, 7 p.m., $5.
