Kid Rock rants

Kid Rock
So the show did, indeed, go on last night at Verizon.

I've asked Verizon reps for attendance numbers, but the arena's closed today and I haven't gotten any response.

When announcing yesterday that the show would go on, Verizon directed fans to Kid Rock's messageboard to "comment."

And they did.

Here's a sample post, from user Horton:

Im disappointed in you Kid, you sing about Jesus and caring, but tonight you are showing nothing but greed. I am not a wealthy person, I asked for money for my birthday to BUY tickets to your show at verizon in arkansas. Im stranded in the snow, streets are closed from here to there, I can't get there.

You can read dozens more here.

Kid Rock, lounging backstage at Verizon with his MacBook, read these comments and posted a response to his website.

It's this simple, If you bought tix to tonights show and can't make it, YOU WILL BE GETTING A REFUND, STRAIGHT OUT OF MY POCKET. I've never ripped any of my fans off, EVER!!! I have also NEVER missed a show. I know there are people who drove here from Memphis and Oklahoma, been in there cars all day driving and dealing with this shitty weather, the same as me and my band have the WHOLE TOUR. You so called "fans" on my website bitchin and moanin and saying i'm greedy, can GO FUCK YOURSELVES, plain and simple. Throw out my cd's and lose my number, I don't want drama kings and queens like yall anywhere around myself, band, crew, family or my fans.

According to a post today on the Kid Rock website, refunds for the show are available via place of purchase until Feb. 25.
