'Take Shelter' highlights Cannes' 'Critic's Week'

Posted By on Mon, Apr 18, 2011 at 4:23 PM

Jeff Nichols' follow-up to the fantastic "Shotgun Stories" is topping off its recent string of glowing reviews with an enviable spot in Cannes' "Critics' Week" lineup, on one of only seven feature films chosen and the only American film to hold the distinction.

One more time: It's the only American feature film of "Critics' Week" at Cannes.

I wonder if there's any correlation between the movie and this. If not, count on Rock Candy to dream up some Wizard of Oz/Dark Side of the Moon scenario as soon as we can.
