Virmarie DePoyster has decided to leave her 39 landscapes up at the Guachoya Art Museum — a half mile from Lake Chicot — and keep her fingers crossed that the levee holds the Mississippi back. Otherwise, they’ll be waterscapes. She writes:

they tell me the levees on the Arkansas side are FINE … “fine”, they say …. so … I decided to leave the exhibit there and hunker down …
