Starting on Saturday, you’ll be able to celebrate climbing up and down Pinnacle Mountain with a hot dog. Big Daddy’s Dogs just scored a contract with Pinnacle Mountain State Park to serve hot dogs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. through November in the West Summit Park.
Chris and Terri Roberts own the mobile food cart, which hooks to a trailer hitch on Chris’ Mazda hatch-back. You can find Chris weekly, usually roaming on Mondays, at AutoZone on Rodney Parham on Tuesday, at Park West on Wednesday, at the Doctor’s Building at Thursday and at Frances Flower Shop on Friday. As is typical in the mobile food business, all that is subject to change. For up-to-date locations, check Big Daddy’s on Facebook.
Big Daddy’s serves Nathan’s all-beef dogs and turkey dogs. With the basic combinations, a chili dog and several special dogs, such as one that combines bacon, ranch and blue cheese.
Terri Roberts said she and her husband were hoping to expand within the next six months.
