Now-Again's new True Soul compilation shipping early?

Word through the tubes tells us that eager True Soul Records fans are in luck. Now-Again Records, the Stones Throw Records imprint that's releasing the much-anticipated anthology of Little Rock soul and funk, is shipping off records weeks ahead of the June 21 release date.

(Thinly veiled brag: Stones Throw sent the CD/DVD sets my way a month ago and, brother, lemme tell ya, it's fantastic stuff. )

Check out more info on the releases or pre-order the two-volume CD/DVD package or four LP box set here.

While you're there, get your mack in gear by checking out Thomas East doing "Slipping Around."
