McKissicks Days Gone By
  • McKissick's "Days Gone By"

Helena-West Helena's Second Saturday event at 5:30 p.m. July 9 includes a talk by self-taught artist artist Sylvester McKissick at the Delta Cultural Center's Annex, 223 Cherry St.

The St. Francis County native and Little Rock resident will talk about his life and his art, in conjunction with the DCC's exhibit, "Collaborations: Two Decades of African American Art, Hearne Fine Art 1988-2008," which features his painting "Days Gone By."

Here's something else to look forward to in Helena: Coming at the Aug. 13 Second Saturday event are Jerry and Terry Lynn (TWIN), who will give a painting demonstration at the annex.
