Eye Candy wrote last week about artist Stephano Sutherland's entry into Art Prize, the huge publicly-juried art competition in Cedar Rapids that he describes as a kind of "American Idol" for artists. Stephano is entering a train-themed triptych in the art contest in his home town; he says his painted history of Michigan's locomotives has helped him reconnect with his father.

Now, NYPD Pizza is hosting a fund-raiser for Stephano, "Send Me to Michigan," from 4-9 p.m. on Aug. 29. The paintings will be on display there. More details later.
