WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour comes to Conway March 31.
  • WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour comes to Conway March 31.

Are you an Arkansas-based musician? Do you play country, bluegrass, folk, Americana, old-timey music or what-have-you? Are there more than zero fiddle, banjo, dulcimer, dobro, jug, washboard and/or mandolin players in your band? Do you want to be on the radio show WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour? Do you have at least two copies of your music on CD format?

If you answered "hell yeah!" to all five of those questions, then you need to send those two CDs, along with a press kit and cover letter to local NPR affiliate KUAR, pronto. Once you've got all that together, stick it into the mail, addressed to:

WoodSongs c/o UALR Public Radio
5820 Asher Ave., Suite 400
Little Rock, AR 72204

WoodSongs comes to the University of Central Arkansas March 31, as part of the school's Public Appearances series.

You've got to figure that a band from frozen-ass Winnipeg is just gonna be way gnarlier and tougher than a band from some sun-kissed tropical clime where people wear tank tops and flip-flops year-round.
