Artist Darrel DeMoss won first in figurative and best overall in the Arkansas League of Artists' second annual juried exhibition, which opens today at Cantrell Gallery, 8206 Cantrell. Reception tonight is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and many artists will be in attendance.

This year's judge was figurative artist Stephen Cephalo, who teaches painting at the Arkansas Arts Center and privately in the Cephalo Studio. He chose 47 pieces for the show, which includes both two- and three-dimensional works.

The show runs through October 29.
