Wanna hear music from "Star Wars," "Superman," "Harry Potter," "Jaws," "Indiana Jones," "Schindler's List" and probably several more? Well here you go: The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra kicks off its Pops Series with "Music of John Williams."

There will be two performances at Robinson Center Music Hall — Saturday Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. and a matinee on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets range in price from $20-$65.

After the jump is a video of ASO Conductor Philip Mann discussing the influence Williams has had on musicians and the reach and impact his compositions have had on audiences and even filmmakers.

Symphony audiences are usually dressed to the nines — tiaras, gowns, tuxedos, top hats, canes, monocles, ect. But perhaps some of you were wondering if this concert would be an appropriate occasion to bust out your head-to-toe Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader get-up. Well yes, actually, it is. Mann encourages attendees to come decked out in their best Star Wars finery. So do it up, Star Wars geeks.

You've got to figure that a band from frozen-ass Winnipeg is just gonna be way gnarlier and tougher than a band from some sun-kissed tropical clime where people wear tank tops and flip-flops year-round.
