The 2011 Arkansas Living Treasure was ceramicist Winston Taylor. It's time to choose the 2012 Living Treasure, the Arkansas Arts Council has announced, and nominations are due Dec. 2.

The award goes to the state's most distinguished craftsmen who have worked to preserve their craft, such as pottery or weaving or basketry, through teaching it to others. The honoree will be chose by a panel of professionals in the field of traditional crafts.

Nomination forms are available on or by calling 324-9766. For more information, contact Robin Muse McClea, artist services program manager, at or 324-9348.
