Last night's showcase: Wooden Toys

The Wooden Toys opened Round 4 of the 2012 Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase.

Wooden Toys opened Round 4 last night. The Conway act "really set the bar for the night," Judge Clay Fitzpatrick noted.

"Killer voice with great dynamics," wrote Sammy Williams. "This band is perfect for a mix tape for someone you have a huge crush on."

Guest judge Stephen Compton, of Little Rock Jams, thought singer Lira Mondal had a "great voice and energy" and that the drumming and bass playing were solid. However, Compton wrote, he's "not a fan of too much reverb."
