'Savor the City' returns in August

Posted By on Tue, Jul 24, 2012 at 12:41 PM

It's just too damn hot to cook in the summertime. Luckily, those looking for an excuse not to turn on the oven in August can look forward to the second annual "Savor the City," a month-long event featuring discounts, tastings and special events at some of Little Rock's best restaurants.

Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the event runs Aug. 1-31. Those interested in getting their fancy grub on can begin visiting www.dineLR.com on Wednesday, July 25 for details about participating restaurants, schedules and pricing. The list will be updated every Wednesday in August, so go back often for new details. You can also get info on daily Savor specials by picking up the Arkansas Times (we'll have the info in a center spread each week) and signing up for the LRCVB's Twitter feed at twitter.com/LittleRockCVB
