Tonight, reception 6-9 p.m. at M2 Gallery, 11525 Cantrell Road, for "Lifelines," photographs by Brian Fender, paintings by Kathy Bay.

Also tonight, reception 6-8 p.m. at Laman Library, 2801 Orange St., for its exhibition "Fighting the Fires of Hate: America and the Nazi Book Burnings."

Saturday, reception 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Delta Cultural Center for "Maude Schuyler Clay: Revisiting the Mississippi Delta."
