If you're interested in seeing the much-adored "national band of Austin," a.k.a. The Gourds (at White Water Tavern Oct. 11 with Kevin Kerby), you can go ahead and get your tickets right now by going here.

That way, you'll avoid the disappointment that will surely result if the show sells out and therefore you can't get in and are forced to go back home, sweetheart in tow, the sounds of the band's trademark idiosyncratic blend of roots music just audible through the door. But you, who didn't get tickets in advance, will not get to see the show. That'd be a drag.
