Thursday: American String Quartet, Polica, 'Booker's Place'

The Chamber Music Society of Little Rock hosts the American String Quartet, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, $10-$25.

Stickyz has Minneapolis-based avant R&B weirdoes Polica, with left-field electro-pop quintet Gardens & Villa, 18-and-older, 9 p.m., $10 adv., $12 day of.

The much-praised Civil Rights documentary "Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story" is at UALR's Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, 7 p.m., free.
