Posted By on Mon, Apr 29, 2013 at 1:24 PM

South on Main Chef Matt Bell will lay his capable hands on Arkansas-grown produce and meat for the Arkansas Local Food Network's "Southern Roots: An Evening of Local Food and Farmers," set for May 31 at Bell's long-anticipated restaurant at The Oxford American offices, 1400 S. Main St. Complementing Bell's Southern cuisine will be a signature cocktail from Rocktown Distillery and beer by Flyway Brewery and Stone's Throw Brewery. The Amy Garland Band will play and farmers will be the night's celebrities.

Tickets are $50 until May 10 and include all beverages. After May 10, tickets will be $60. Proceeds will help ALFN publish its "FRESH Local Food Directory" for Central Arkansas. Go to ALFN's Food Club pickup, Green Corner Store or here for tickets.

Besides those providing the libations, other participating ALFN members will include Arkansas Natural Produce, Arkansas Fresh Bakery, Armstead Mountain Farm, Barnhill Orchards, Bussey-Scott Urban Garden, Farm Girl Natural Foods, Falling Sky Farm, Kellogg Valley Farm, Kent Walker Artisan Cheese, Laughing Stock Farm, Loblolly Creamery, McSwain Ranch, North Pulaski Farm, Ratchford Farms & Exotic Meats, Rattle's Garden, Willow Springs Market Garden and Youngblood Grassfed Farm.
