Greg Thompson Fine Art: “Best of the South” is rehung with new work by Sammy Peters, Henri Linton, Sheila Cotton and others. 429 Main St.

Laman Library Argenta Branch: Angela Davis Johnson will give a painting demonstration and Logan Hunter and Hannah May will show pottery techniques. 506 Main St.

Paint Box Gallery: “Frost on the Pumpkin” is the name of tonight’s holiday open house with refreshments and new paintings by Philip Kirkpatrick, Angela Green and Anne Lyon, pottery by Maura Miller and woodwork by Dan Bowe. 705 Main St.

Thea Foundation: Closing reception for “Drawing a Line: 30 Years of Cartoons and Illustrations by John Deering.” 301 Main St.

There will be artists streetside and several businesses will be open as well.
