Several folks from the local music community have initiatives going to help the needy this holiday season. Today, DJ, party promoter, bartender, man-about-town Mike Brown has partnered with the River Market, the Little Rock Air Force Base and the Arkansas Foodbank to host “Give to Get.” From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., there’ll be a truck under one of the River Market Pavilions to accept non-perishable food donations. Those who give at least 10 items will receive a coupon book full of discounts from the likes of Barefoot Yoga, Stickyz and Revolution.

Also, local producers G-Sizz and Ferocious have organized More We, Less Me,  a food and clothing drive (flyer on the jump). The drop-off point is at Moon Rize Studios, 3509 W. 16th in Little Rock.
