Amboy Neighborhood Association to host chili cookoff

Posted By on Tue, Mar 11, 2014 at 11:39 AM

With cold winter days continuing to linger (seriously, weather, it's March!), there's only one place to turn: delicious chili. The Amboy Neighborhood Association is teaming with the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI — this sounds like a club we need to become members of) to host their annual fundraiser at The Church at Burns Park in North Little Rock on Saturday, March 22.

Cooking for the cookoff will begin early Saturday morning, with judging beginning at 11:30 a.m. The teams will include locals from Amboy, Belwood and North Little Rock, as well as chili experts from the CASI. Chili kits ($3 for a cup, spoon and voting ticket) go on sale at noon. For the kiddos, there will also be a Bouncy House, opening at 11:30. There will also be a silent auction in the afternoon of items donated by local businesses.

Proceeds will go to the Amboy Neighborhood Association.
