Congratulations to Andra Smith, the winner of our 2014 Spring Photo Contest! Smith's picture of a tasty salad from Main Street favorite Root Cafe was the biggest vote-getter in our recent Facebook voting — quite a feat, since we had some really fantastic photographs submitted.

Thanks again to South on Main and Loblolly Creamery, who donated prizes for this contest — I couldn't have done it without them. And thanks to everyone who submitted a photo — I was very impressed with all of them, and found it very tough to narrow things down to only six finalists. You obviously love food, Arkansas, and it shows.

Didn't get a chance to enter this time around? Bummed your picture wasn't the prize-winner? Well don't fret: I'll be running another contest toward the end of April, and I've selected two new judges: Kat Robinson, author of Arkansas Pie and Classic Eateries of the Ozarks and River Valley (and, of course, former Eat Arkansas and current Tie Dye Travels wordsmith) and Thanh Rasico, author of the Red Kitchen Recipes food blog. These ladies know food, and they know good photography, so I'm looking forward to our next contest — plus, we've got some pretty great prizes from Hillcrest Artisan Meats for our next winner.

Stay tuned for our next contest, and congratulations once again to Andra Smith!
