Alright, alright, alright! Food Feedback Friday is back! I took a brief vacation to the land of my forefathers and neglected to pass off FFF duties. But no worries...there’s still plenty of time for feedback.

Last time we met, here’s what we talked about:

Steve was not please with So. He writes, “Tried out So restaurant in Hillcrest on hearing that a new chef was in charge. It was not good. All of the dishes we had were far too rich, and usually needlessly so.” Raven was raving about the newly opened Mylo Coffee Co., and states, “So happy that I finally got to have Kouign Amanns from Mylo Coffee Co...the place is wonderful all around. I enjoyed the pour over coffee...the KAs I had were bacon, a game changer, and a dark chocolate one.” Dana was pleased with a vegan event at The Green Corner Store, “Amazing vegan food provided by Sol Food catering and all sorts of yummy things from Loblolly!” Kevin was pleased with a trip to Conway, where he “really enjoyed a sushi place up there called Umami. Had the Marilyn Monroe Roll. Def rec that place for the solid, no frills sushi.”

So, now it’s your turn to feedback. Hope you’ve got some good things to share.

  • The Kraft Mac & Cheese Food Hack

Recently, we held another food hack competition, taking another childhood classic, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and tried to turn it on its head, creating something entirely new and unique. Again, the results were pretty awesome. The rules were simple: Use a whole box of mac and cheese, both noodles and cheese powder, and turn it into any sinister monstrosity imaginable. We had a vote via the Eat Arkansas Facebook page to crown a winner. Here's what was submitted:

  • Looking in on the new Le Pops, now in the Heights

Le Pops is a wonderful addition to the Heights neighborhood. Laurie Harrison is incredibly dedicated to her product, she still works here 7 days a week and is constantly experimenting in the kitchen to develop new flavors. Check them out the next time you need a cool down.
