Printmaker Delita Martin, who has combined writing, pattern and imagery to portray marginalized women, will be the demonstrating artist tonight for Argenta ArtWalk at the Laman Library branch on the Laman Library's Argenta branch (420 Main St.), where the Beatles photos still hold sway.

Martin is but one of a number of Southern women artists whose work you'll see at tonight's artwalk (5-8 p.m.) At the THEA Foundation (401 Main), Lisa Krannichfeld's exhibit "Refinery," of watercolors, are on display as part of Thea's TheArtDepartment series on emerging artists, and Greg Thompson Fine Art's group show of works by Dolores Justus, Linda Palmer, Louise Halsey, Sheila Cotton, Rebecca Thompson and Robyn Horn continues (429 Main St.).

It's not a total distaff takeover: Robert Bean is showing paintings and  drawings in a show called "Strangers Now and Then" at Mugs Cafe (515 Main). Bourbon and Boots (419 Main St.) will be open for the walk, as will Claytime Gallery (417 Main) next door, Creative Space Gallery (108 E. 4th) and the Art Connection Gallery (204 E. 4th).

There will be also independent artists at booths on Main.
