Architect Peter Bohlin, who the Architecture and Design Network says calls himself a "soft modernist," will give a lecture tonight, "Nature of Circumstance," at 6 p.m. at the Ron Robinson Theater in the River Market district. Bohlin heads the Bohlin Cywinski Jackson firm in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., and other major American cities. The firm designed the flagship Apple stores and has received more than 500 awards, including the American Institute of Architects’s Gold Medal. A reception precedes the talk at 5:30 p.m.

The Architecture and Design Network is supported by the Arkansas Arts Center, the Central Arkansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture and others.
