Alright, eaters. Big weekend going on. Riverfest is happening...with all the eating and music that entails. Some of your favorite food trucks will be there, as well as some of the regular festival vendors you've come to expect. You can find a list here. Then it's Memorial Day. You had better be eating some BBQ. I don't care where. I don't care what. It's your American duty to put something smoked or grilled in your mouth on Monday.

Now let's get to feedback. What were we hearing about last week?

Steve has some positive words for some salad at Big Orange, saying, "I tried the Thai Chop Salad this week from Big Orange, and was blown away. Medallions of perfectly cooked sirloin are framed with peanuts, tomatoes, cilantro and a beautiful sesame dressing." And speaking of Big Orange, Karin says she "had soup for the first time at Big Orange. It was leek and potato with cheese and ale. Perhaps the best potato soup I've ever had!" Dana took herself to the Ozarks and "stopped at El Molcajete in Clarksville. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but there is some really good Mexican Food going on inside." Kevin got a look at Baja Grill, writing, "Had some delicious tacos the other evening at Baja Grill's soft opening. The Cuban and blackened shrimp tacos were just as I had remembered." Jericho-oh-oh had this to say: "A short drive out Baucum Pike (highway to Scott) takes you to Grand Kibb's BBQ....most excellent! And their cheeseburger got GF's highest recommendation!" And I know that Raven really enjoyed himself, having "an epic week of lunches at South on Main. They are doing it all right over there. The hot chicken sandwich is like no other chicken sandwich in LR."

  • The Kraft Mac & Cheese Food Hack

Recently, we held another food hack competition, taking another childhood classic, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and tried to turn it on its head, creating something entirely new and unique. Again, the results were pretty awesome. The rules were simple: Use a whole box of mac and cheese, both noodles and cheese powder, and turn it into any sinister monstrosity imaginable. We had a vote via the Eat Arkansas Facebook page to crown a winner. Here's what was submitted:
