ACANSA schedule: Lindquist, mime Bowers, "Disfarmer" and more

The inaugural ACANSA Arts Festival, crafted over the past year by the leaders of Little Rock's arts community, will kick off Sept. 23 with a cocktail reception at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion and continue with art, theater, music and dance performances in Little Rock and North Little Rock Sept. 24-28.

It includes an exhibit of engravings by Evan Lindquist, Arkansas's first artist laureate, a performance by mime artist Bill Bowers, an organ recital by Hector Olivera, a production of Werner Trieschmann's "Disfarmer" directed by The Rep's Bill Hupp, the KALO Trio, the Street Corner Symphony and more. 

Ticket sales will begin later in the month.
