Louis Watts
, whose minimalist works on paper devoted Delta Exhibition goers have seen for several years running, will hold a closing reception for his exhibition "Work: Deconstruction, Reconstruction, Communication and Labor" on Saturday, Dec. 6, in his unique venue near the Bentonville square, the Truck/Art Gallery. The mobile gallery is a former potato chip truck, and "Work" is its first show; click on the link for more images from the show. The works include drawings and collages, all in a black and white palette. About the image above, Watts writes:

Untitled VIII: (Apoptosis series) explores ancient ideas of rebirth as a result of destruction. Using a process of laying out, fixing, and then destroying the drawing with a rubbing technique to create a new composition, the piece meditates on deriving new meaning by breaking down old constructs to create new experiences.

The reception is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the truck, which will be parked across the street from 21c Hotel, 200 N.E. A St. All works are sold by bid; bidding concludes at the end of the exhibit. After the reception, folks will reconvene at the Hive Bar in the hotel.
