Two of my favorite food entities in the state, Fayetteville's Apple Blossom Brewing Company and our own South on Main, are getting together for a beer dinner tomorrow night that is sure to be outstanding. The dinner starts at 6:30 tomorrow night, and will feature food from the SoM gang, beer from ABBC—and as an added bonus, you'll be able to sample and purchase bread from Apple Blossom's bakery. Not sure about a bakery in a brewery? Just try the stuff, and you will be (and, shameless plug, pick up the May issue of Arkansas Food and Farm for a feature on ABBC's baker, Cody Johnson—available in two weeks!).

From the event info page over on Facebook:

Celebrate the start of Arkansas Craft Beer Week by enjoying a four-course dinner artfully paired with Apple Blossom craft beer! South on Main is proud to host Apple Blossom Brewing's first beer dinner in Little Rock on Tuesday, May 12.

Four courses, five beers, $60 per person. Reserve your seat by calling (501) 244-9660 or emailing

Welcome Beer: Old Boggy

Chamomile Wheat paired with Toasted Sourdough, Fromage Blanc, Arugula Pesto

Thai Basil paired with Grilled Endive Salad & Caramelized Grapefruit

Black IPA paired with Smoked Flank Steak with BLT Farro Salad

Coffee Stout paired with Nilla Wafer Tiramisu

As well as tasty food and beer, there will also be music by Shawn James. It's sure to be a heck of a time, and a great chance to try some unique beers from one of Arkansas' best and most experimental breweries.
