Hearne Fine Art, 1001 Wright Ave., and Greg Thompson Fine Art, 429 Main St., NLR, are hosting the "Progressive Collectors Reception" — meaning you can progress from one to the other — tonight for their joint  2015 National Silverpoint Invitational's “Drawing with Silverpoint." The show features work by Susan Schwalb, Sherry Camhy, Tom Mazzullo, Jeannine Cook, Lori Field, Marietta Hoferer, Michael Kukla, Jeffrey Lewis, and, of course, Marjorie Williams-Smith and Aj Smith. Marjorie and Aj are Little Rock artists and I don't believe I'm being a homer when I say that their work is some of the strongest on exhibition. The image of Marjorie's work above in no way shows how incredibly finely, painstakenly drawn the work is. You must see for yourself. So head over anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. tonight. The show at Greg Thompson Fine Art will be open after-hours again Friday, for the monthly Argenta ArtWalk, 5-8 p.m.

While you are at Hearne, also check out the gallery's new show of watercolors and etchings by Dean Mitchell, collages by Bryan Collier and quilted portraits by Bisa Butler.

The plumbing permit, pulled by Cromwell Architects Engineers, tags the entire remodeling project "The Distillery," as does the East Village website image.
