More on tap tonight for 2nd Friday Art Night:  "Katherine Rutter & Ginny Sims" in the Trinity Gallery at the Historic Arkansas Museum.

I first saw Rutter's work in last year's Delta Exhibition and was sad to learn she had left Arkansas for Oakland, Calif. I have been a fan of Ginny Sims' pottery, as well, and now she's in Minneapolis. At least they continue to show their work in Arkansas.

Rutter has B.F.A. in drawing and photography from the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. Sims has a degree in political science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and apprenticed at pottery studios in Europe. The exhibit continues through Nov. 8, 2015. HAM will have beer from Moody Brews and music by John Willis and the Late Romantics.

Also tonight, 5-8 p.m.: “Round Robin” collaborative painting at Gallery 221; Sandra Marson's "Art by Design" at the Cox Creative Center; "Different Landscapes,” paintings by Greg Lahti, photographs by Brennan Plunkett, drawings by Robert Bean and woodwork by Steve Plunkett at Arkansas Capital Corp. Group; and folk music by Mockingbird at the Old State House.
