Some the best memories I have of my childhood are the various church, school and family trips I went on to Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs. Even as an adult, my inner child gives a shout of pure glee every time they fire up that giant Tesla coil with a boom and a crackle that makes the hair stand up on my arms. It's a fun and fantastic place.

How could it get better? Like this: For the past decade-and-a-half, Mid-America has held "Taste of the Holidays," an eat, drink and be merry party full of local music, food and other activities. This year's event will be held Thursday, November 19, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the museum, and the folks at Mid-America will also be awarding a $1000 scholarship to a local graduating student.

But you guys are here about the food, so here's the current line-up. Tickets can be purchased at the museum or online right here:

*Ambrosia Bakery
*Arkansas Beverage Sales
*Atrium at Serenity Pointe

I'm impressed with the food and drink line-up this year, and I imagine everyone who attends will be, too. Anybody been to this event before? Let us know how it was down there in the comments.
