Introducing Twiggy's Treatery

It's always fun to find new folks serving up tasty treats, and by chance I came across Angela Carson and Alicia Reddick this weekend working their very first Argenta Certified Farmers Market under the name Twiggy's Treatery. The duo's snickerdoodles came highly recommended by one of my favorite bakers, Karen Withers of Katie Connally Confections— and if Karen says something's good, I trust her. So I stopped over to meet the Twiggy's gang and sure enough, those snickerdoodles were fantastic—soft, chewy and redolent of stout Vietnamese cinnamon. Delicious!

In addition to the tasty cookies, Twiggy's also had a "local sourcing" Christmas tree up to give each of their Arkansas suppliers a shout-out. Names like Rattle's Garden, Izard Chocolate, Paw Paws Pecans, Rock Town Distillery, Hiland Dairy and War Eagle Mill are surely familiar to all of you local food fantatics—and Carson and Reddick told me that they plan to add more names to the tree as their business grows.

Twiggy's Treatery will be back out in Argenta this coming weekend, so why don't you all go grab some cookies or other baked goods to save yourself some time on Christmas? Just don't buy all the snickerdoodles before I get there.
