For the third year in a row, Chef Matthew McClure, of The Hive in the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville, has been named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards in the Best Chef: South category. The Beard awards are the Academy Awards of the restaurant business. McClure was the only Arkansas nominee. He’s the twice reigning chef winner in our annual Readers Choice restaurant poll in the Around the State division.
