Members of Handmade Moments recovering after California crash

Posted By on Thu, May 26, 2016 at 10:18 AM

Joel Ludford and Anna Horton, the duo that make up Fayetteville's Handmade Moments, are on the path to recovery after a three-vehicle car crash on southbound Highway 49 in Nevada County, Calif., on Saturday afternoon. Sacramento's KCRA News reported a total of 8 people injured in the accident.

Ludford and Horton, formerly of the funk-folk group Don't Stop Please, were in route through the western United States with their bus — equipped with a collapsible, solar-powered stage attached to the roof — when the accident occurred. The two Fayetteville musicians and two friends traveling with them are hospitalized but recovering. On the band's Facebook page, Anna assured friends and fans,
"Still a long road to recovery ahead, but we are alive, baby! Thank you guys for all the love and support!"

Their biodiesel-fueled van, their merchandise, and a fair amount of their cornucopia of instruments (guitars, ukelele, mandolin, clarinet, saxophone) were damaged in the process, and the band has set up a GoFundMe drive to help with immediate medical expenses.

Here's Ludford and Horton with their video for "President Trump," filmed inside a bootlegging cave in Santa Cruz.
