The Farmer’s Table is located at 1079 S. School Avenue in Fayetteville, in what was once a house. Pulling up to the building feels reminiscent of pulling up to the archetypal old farmer’s house, as the large front porch begs you to come and sit, and you’re certain only good things await you inside.

While the menu had several tempting options, I went for breakfast. In fact, I went for a breakfast and a half, ordering both Ozark Breakfast Tacos and a biscuit with gravy. My companion ordered the Rise & Shine breakfast hash with an extra side of veggies, and we both ordered lattes.

Let’s not save the best for last. The biscuit and gravy was perfection. Just look at that photo. A fresh, warm, scratch-made biscuit from the thick end of the spectrum—well, that’s already pretty darn good. But when you top it with sausage gravy made from ridiculously delicious sausage, it achieves a new level of awesome.

And my tacos were no slackers either, filled with the basics of fresh, high-quality cheddar, sausage, and a big ‘ol pile of eggs. The salsa verde didn’t hurt anything either. I appreciated the double taco wrap too; given how full these were it would have been a bit of a wrestling match to keep everything together without that extra layer.

My companion’s hash was a giant plate of all the best sautéed veggies—carrots, onion, sweet potato, pepper, spaghetti squash, and more—topped with two over-medium eggs. Not only was it beautiful, the flavors melded into an ideal blend of savory vegetables that didn’t lose any of their goodness when eaten as leftovers later that day.

No surprise here, but our lattes were also crafted with care. Good quality beans plus a nice thick foam equals a happy coffee drinker. Service at The Farmer’s Table was also excellent. Friendly, polite, and unobtrusive, the staff also had our food to us in record speed, particularly given the number of tables that were taken at the time.
