Mason Mauldin (1981-2013) was a Little Rock musician, athlete, pilot and, according to this remembrance from Arkansas Times' Observer a few days after his untimely death, a "world-class cutup."

In commemoration of what would be Mauldin's 36th birthday, Mauldin's former bandmates from Big Boots have partnered with Max Recordings to release a six-track EP featuring some gems fronted by the late musician, "recorded, rescued, mixed and mastered by Darian Stribling and Jordan Trotter at Blue Chair Studio."

A link to the EP follows, along with a note from Mauldin's former bandmate Mike Motley.

Tomorrow would have been Mason's 36th Birthday. To celebrate that today we newly release the Big Boots EP - songs that we originally recorded in 2007.

The final band lineup was Mason Mauldin, Mike Motley, and Trevor Ware.
