Checking in with Collin vs. Adam, Big Piph and Osyrus Bolly

Fans of ethereal brisket sandwiches and deeply honeyed Old Fashioneds are going to recognize the backdrop in this one from Big Piph, an SDS Films-produced video for "Chills." It has a better plot line than 60 percent of what Netflix churned out this year, and features some seriously smooth crooning from Justin Paul.

Behold, "Supernova," a new track from Collin vs. Adam that scratches the same glittery, goofy, new wave itch as Missing Persons or Buggles. Put this one on a playlist with "Dancing in the Dark," and you've got yourself the makings of a kickass getting-dolled-up-for-Friday-night soundtrack.

And one we missed when it popped up in September, a steamy study in triplets from Osyrus Bolly featuring BJ Soule and Duke Stigall, which manages to convince you for a brief second that it's a deep trance massage track; that is, until it drops, complete with references to the Rally's drive thru and the great chasm of ambiguity behind the dreaded "On my way" text.
