Justus Fine Art rings in new year with Lasater, Raborn and others

John Lasater's painting "White River" (above) sets the tone for the January exhibition at Justus Fine Art Gallery in Hot Springs. Joining Lasater's work in the show, which opens Jan. 4, will be paintings, woodwork and more by Laura Raborn, Dustyn Bork, Sammy Peters, Jason Sacran, Tony Saladino, Charles Peer, Dan Thornhill, Gene Sparling, Dolores Justus, Jill Kyon and Robyn Horn.

Justus, at 827 A Central Ave., will host a reception 5-9 p.m. Jan. 4 for the spa city's monthly Gallery Walk.

    "State of the Art," a film by award-winning filmmakers Craig and Brent Renaud about the 2014-15 Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art exhibition of the same name, will get a free preview screening at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Ron Robinson Theater in the River Market district. The film will then be aired on AETN at 8 p.m. Friday, April 26.
