Art joints jumping with Katherine Strause, others for Hot Springs Gallery Walk

The monthly Gallery Walk in Hot Springs, 5-9 p.m. Friday, March 1, will take you to Justus Fine Art (827A Central Ave.), where works by Michael Ashley, Taimur Cleary, Robert Fogel, Robyn Horn, Sammy Peters, Tony Saladino, Katherine Strause and Dolores Justus will be on exhibit. (Justus also has an exhibit of her paintings at Garvan Gardens' Magnolia Room during March.)

Also open for Gallery Walk:

Gallery Central (800 Central Ave.), where longtime Hot Springs artist Bob Snider will paint live and paintings by Joseph Raymond and Sheila Cotton, glass by James Hayes and other artworks will be exhibited; Emergent Arts (341 Whittington Ave.), which is showing photographs by Annie Gerber, Kristin Shaw, Matt White, Aaron Brewer, Drew Martin, Marc Menefee and Robbie Brindley; and Artists Workshop Gallery (610A Central Ave.), featuring mixed media by Jim Heinley and Bonnie Ricci.

    "State of the Art," a film by award-winning filmmakers Craig and Brent Renaud about the 2014-15 Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art exhibition of the same name, will get a free preview screening at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Ron Robinson Theater in the River Market district. The film will then be aired on AETN at 8 p.m. Friday, April 26.
