Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?

According to the 2000 census, almost 20% of those under 18 and over 65 in Fayetteville were found to be living below the poverty line. That's almost 20% of each group.

I wonder how we are faring now?

Of course, some of them have been no doubt evicted to make room for new developments. Ah, the sweet smell of progress and campaign donations . . .
