Oh, look at the pretty football

It’s great news that UAMS will transform the old Washington Regional Medical Center into a satellite campus for the University of Arkansas for Medical Services. Quoting Washington County Jerry Hunton in the Northwest Arkansas Times:

I can’t think of anything more important, more strategic, more vital to an area that is growing the way our area is growing.”

Now, let’s just see if the local TV news stations finally lead of with this story. I looked in vain for it last night as the lead story on all three channels, but it was - well, you know what it was.

And one station - you know who you are - had adopted a sort of whiny, “They’re already taking pot shots at our wonderful new coach” approach to the story of his former team and his less than honorable way of telling them he was leaving.

Come on, folks! This is bigger than football.
