From Harrison with Love: KKK invades Ada, Oklahoma

KKK flyers have been placed around newspapers in people’s yard’s and boxes in Ada, Oklahoma. When TV cameras flashed on the flyers, it was clear that the love offerings came from that old rascal, Thom Robb, based in Harrison, Arkansas.

No matter how many nice things people write about Harrison, I think Thom Robb has given the place a permanent black eye. To read more about the incident:

It just ain’t the same Department

Though I keep up with events in Northwest Arkansas by reading the news online, it just isn’t the same as holding a newspaper in your hands while you drink coffee, spilling your breakfast over the pages. Reading online seems a little, I don’t know, sterile.

Though I got a lot of my news online, I love picking up my newspaper off the porch in the morning, and pulling my magazines out of the mailbox.

Not gonna change. Not now. Not ever.

You’re beginning to annoy me, Michael Phelps

I’ve been watching the Rosetta Stone commercial with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, in which he says at the end, “I told you guys, under a minute,” to the sound of laughter and applause.

What?

He did the commercial in under a minute? Is there anyone out there who is so lame that they don’t realize that these things actually get edited down to a certain length?

Or am I jealous because he is a world-class athlete, and I am, well . . . not? No, that couldn’t be it, I’m sure of it. Really.

Anyway, here’s an interesting video of the much loved Mr. Phelps being a real, say we say, jerk to his fellow swimmers.
