The Syrian Refugee Crisis and hating on Catholics

Posted By on Mon, Nov 23, 2015 at 4:36 PM

As is usually the case in these matters, the most venomous among them lack the integrity to use their real names. In this case, the posts are from the KFSM news site, which featured an article a few days ago concerning the Catholic Charities of Arkansas and their willingness to aid any Syrian refugees which may wash up on the shores of Arkansas - despite the best efforts of Governor Hutchinson (who may want to read a civics book sometime) to prevent them from coming here.

Well, that’s when the fun began. Posters using a variety of names - including one who actually calls himself “NEVER GO FULL LIBERAL” - felt obliged to comment on the Syrian refugees themselves, Patrick Gallaher, the executive director of Catholic Charities in Arkansas, and those damn liberals in general.

“Terrorists posing as refugees: welcome to Arkansas; you may proceed to commit your crimes courtesy of the Catholic Charities of America. Gallaher: an ignorant fool doing ‘God’s work’ is an accessory to the demise of this country. Sitek and Katro: two anti-America liberal clowns with stupid names not from Arkansas.”

The last comment was in reference to ZUZANNA SITEK  and  ESTHER KATRO, who wrote the article in question. Too bad the “writer” of the post doesn’t know how to use the Google Machine, because he’d have discovered they are as American as apple pie.

One of them was inspired to go into journalism by watching Nick News with Linda Ellerbee, so yeah, she’s probably some sort of real dangerous liberal or something.

“The Daily Mail: Revealed: The enemy within. Nearly SEVENTY are arrested in America over ISIS plots – and they include refugees who had been given safe haven but ‘turned to terror’”

Yeah, well, I tracked down what I think is this paranoid’s daily Mail reference, and it is about Bosnian refugees - not Syrians. For those who weren’t offered geography in school, Bosnia isn’t anywhere near Syria. For the article -

“So we go in and shut down this Catholic ‘Charities’ and problem solved. No worries about any more “refugees” aka ‘illegals’ aka ‘undocumented immigrants’. One has to wonder how many ‘undocumented immigrants’ have been aided and abetted by this ‘Charity’ organization, here illegally from south of the border no doubt. I wonder how many child molesters, murderers and rapists they have helped to keep in this country. I wonder how many of the families of the gang bangers in Springdale they have helped to get established in this part of the country. One has to wonder how much money the government pays this ‘Charity’ to assist these people, because no one does anything for free anymore out of the goodness of their heart, not even charities (just look at United Way and Susan G. Koman).”

Never Go Full Liberal? Try Never Go Full Rational . . .

Taking umbrage at another poster’s attempt to to interject some common sense into the conversation, NGFL snarled back:

“I will remember your ignorant comment when one of these refugee’s opens fire with an automatic weapon and starts tossing grenades at innocent civilians. Honestly you have no clue period. This is like bringing a rattlesnake into your house and turning it loose, will you get bit today? Tomorrow? A year down the road? Sorry friend but you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. And to make things clear WE THE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES (not mexico or any other country nor the government) have the ultimate say in who gets to come and stay. This is NOT an opportunity for Arkansas and WE THE PEOPLE will take this country back, we have done it before and we will do it again.”

Another patriot wrote:

“I’d be willing to bet that the majority of Catholics are opposed to this ‘refugee' coddling. As with the obumma regime these charities, both Catholic and other religious groups, are blind to the negatives of their missions at times.”

Damn coddlers . . .

And in case you might think that things were getting a little too coherent:

“I use to work for the Catholic Conference in 1975 when the Vietnamese were here and all was good. I don’t think they are being responsible when they bring and house and feed our worse enemy’s! they may not all be bad! but I’ll ask you one question if you think that it’s not dangerous to harbor these people! Why do you have locks on your Doors at Church if All People are good! Explain that! You Own a lot of property and have a lot of Bored Nun’s why don’t you folks keep them all on your property! You Feed and Clothe them. Better yet send them to the Vatican! I’ll bet Allah would like that!”

Bored Nuns! Bored Nuns! Danger, Will Robinson . . .

Today’s Soundtrack

Today’s blog was written to the sounds of the CD “Ultimate Sinatra.”

This blog may not be great, but the music sure as hell is.
