If you’re looking for someone to blame for “normalizing” Alex Jones, try Brad Meltzer

Folks who spend an inordinate amount of time online fondly imagine that everyone in the known universe knows exactly who Alex Jones of the infamous Infowars is - whether they see him as a saint or a devil - but they would be wrong.

I can understand the debate over the Megyn Kelly interview with Jones, but really, if folks want to indulge in Internet Outrage over the “normalization” of Alex Jones, they should look no further than writer Brad Meltzer and what is laughably still called the History Channel.

Yeah.

Brad Meltzer.

Brad Meltzer has been a fixture on the History Channel (geez, it’s hard to write those two words with a straight face) on programs where he sends out a team of the ignorant and the criminally naive to uncover “secret” American history.

It was on one such show that he and his team enlisted the aid of Alex Jones, for a show which literally had me shouting at the television.

For those who bathe daily in the waters of conspiracy and paranoia, the episode was about the infamous Bohemian Grove.

Look it up for yourself.

Just the fact that Meltzer felt compelled to bring in Alex Jones as a special consultant on this show was enough to make my skin crawl.

You can find the show online. I, however, won’t provide a link to it.

Megyn Kelly (not my favorite person, I’ll admit) at least tried to shine a light on Alex Jones and his obscene conspiracy theories. Brad Meltzer climbed down into the sewer with the man.

Now on YouTube: My interview with Betsey Wright

Though she is not involved with the anti-death penalty issue today, for some time former Bill Clinton aide Betsey Wright was a tireless advocate for those on death row. Here is an interview from several years ago.

Doctor Who - on the radio!

I’d known about the Doctor Who radio plays on BBC for some time, but had never actually listened to one before.

here is a story featuring Colin Baker, a Doctor from the 1980s. And yes, it’s an all new adventure.

There’s a whole bunch of other radio plays as well.
