The first 9/11 film hits DVD

Posted By on Tue, Sep 5, 2006 at 6:15 PM

A big push is being made for the DVD release of Paul Greengrass' 9/11 film "United 93."  The DVD hit strores Tuesday, September 5th.  The film received very positive reviews and appears to be a sleeping in the upcoming awards race.  Will the fact that it's on DVD cause those not ready to see it in theatres take a second look.  My guess is no, but then again, I'm one of those people.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.
