The movie everybody loved but me

Posted By on Tue, Oct 3, 2006 at 2:58 PM

Here's a piece in Entertainment Weekly about films that everyone seemed to like but "me" (certain members of the EW staff weigh in).  There are some sensible picks: Dances with Wolves, Jackass: The Movie, Titanic.

Here's my list:

1-4 - Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, Return of the King, King Kong (yes, all directed by Peter Jackson)
5-6 - The Sixth Sense, Signs
7 - My Best Friend's Wedding
8 - The Blair Witch Project
9 - Moulin Rouge
10- Forrest Gump

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
