Cate Blanchett

Posted By on Sat, Feb 17, 2007 at 10:54 AM

In an intriguing move, Cate Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton are taking over as the co-creative directors of the Sydney Theatre Company.  They will begin a three year committment in 2008 after a year spent shadowing the current creative director.

The New Yorker has a profile of Blanchett in the February 12th issue, which is still available.  Unfortunately, they did not make the story available online.

It is worth a read.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.
