I received an e-mail from my friend Mariah late last night after she caught a viewing of “Zodiac.”  She writes, “I wasn’t as impressed as you were with ‘Zodiac’ but I thought it was balanced and it kept my interest.  Solid work from the actors and the SF-scenes were great.  It was a bit too long, though.  Fascinating story.”

The primary complaints I’ve heard about the film from a diverse group of moviegoers is that it was too long.  I didn’t think so.  In fact, I could have continued watching all three of the primary actors for a while longer.  Still, it’s a fascinating film and a great start to the new movie year.
